zero2hero is a Perth-based charity dedicated to educating and empowering children and young people in our community to face mental health challenges, helping to prevent and reduce the devastating impact of youth suicide.

By creating safe environments, encouraging open conversations and empowering young leaders, zero2hero works to break down the stigma around mental illness and make mental wellbeing a normal part of everyday life.

Through innovative, school-based programs, they support children and young people to build their understanding of mental health, raise awareness of available support services and develop the confidence to seek help early, so mental health can be talked about openly and treated with the same importance as physical health.

zero2hero also hosts initiatives such as zero2hero Day and Camp Hero – Youth Leadership Camps, designed to equip school-aged children and teenagers with practical tools to speak up when they’re struggling. These programs also empower young people to recognise when a friend may need support and to step in with care during tough times, whether that’s stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
