Endometriosis WA advocates and supports individuals affected by endometriosis. As a 100% volunteer driven not-for-profit organisation, they passionately raise awareness, deliver evidence-based education and support local research into endometriosis.
Understanding Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a chronic disorder where tissue that looks similar to the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) grows outside of the uterus. The severity and types of symptoms can vary between people with endometriosis but the most common are: pain during periods, sex or ovulation, chronic pain in the pelvis, lower back and legs, fatigue, difficulty falling pregnant (infertility) and heavy or irregular bleeding. There is no cure for endometriosis, however symptoms can be managed through medicines, surgery and/or lifestyle changes.
Ways to Get Involved
Throughout November, you can make a difference by contributing to the cause when you visit our Red Dot and Red Dot Home stores. Every donation, no matter how big or small, goes a long way in supporting Endometriosis WA’s initiatives.
You can help by spreading awareness about Endometriosis and our charity drive through your social media channels and personal networks. Sharing information about the chronic disorder and the importance of donating can inspire others to contribute to the cause.
